For two hours I was happy for two hours, the magic of Iron Maiden enveloped me, made me regress and revive feed my adolescence and young at heart that you carry inside you and you should never die. Nostalgia healthy and revitalizing my nearly 39 years. The galloping rhythms, mystical and captivating epic Iron Maiden will always feed the spirit.
In 2009 it was at the National Stadium last night was at the stadium in San Marcos. The room was a little big. In the best case 20 000 persons far from the 33 thousand who were the first time. Weeks before and it was clear that there was the madness that erupted two years ago. Little press coverage, little publicity in the streets and on TV (except for the last few days at the low ticket sales) and dim expectation in the forums, on the streets. Arriving two hours prior to the vicinity of San Marcos was almost desolate landscape. There were no queues or crowds or euphoria.
Last night was a real thermometer to know how is the Peruvian fan of the 'Beast', the heavy metal. Although we can explain the low attendance by the avalanche of international concerts (Accept, UDO, Helloween, Ozzy, Motorhead, among others). It is clear that the best wallet enough to go all out and the metalhead should be more selective. Another explanation is that the show was different from that of 2009 (which were based on the classic golden age), because last night was based on his latest album The Final Frontier (5) and some issues of Brave New World (2 ), Dance of the Death (1), Seventh are ... (1), but there were the classics (7).
The sound was more powerful than two years ago, but swing on many occasions. The giant screens were not not very good resolution (especially for those who went to the rostrum popular), although delivery of the band on stage was total and supplied anything above. ENGLISH TIME
. They started on time. Minutes before 9:00 pm began the long intro Doctor, Doctor and UFO video, a character from The Final Frontier. Satellite launched with 15 ... The Final Frontier and El Dorado of his latest album. The stage was fitted out as a sort of background spaceport and a sea of \u200b\u200bstars, which varied between subjects. The vitality of Bruce Dickinson did not wait and ran around with simian movements, getting the public to the pocket with phrases like: "This is our home. This will not be our last time in Peru, you are special fans. "
Steve Harris was given a more than in 2009 (would have been in poor health at that time) Murray and Smith squandered sobriety and quality as always, while Gers, put the share of humor playing with Eddy.
2 minutes to midnight began to get people excited. Again two new songs with The Talisman and Coming Home and then the mystic Dance of Death. After a small problem with the battery, attacked with The Trooper, a song that ended up loosing the euphoria of the people. Followed by The Wicker Man and Blood Brothers, one of the most emotional moments of the night for the dedication of Dickinson. The vocalist reminded his fans in Japan who suffered an earthquake and tsunami just on the eve of concerts to perform in China Maiden. One issue that breaks down racial barriers, cultural, social and economic, and passion for this music brings them together, like blood brothers, as brothers of metal.
few drops began to fall from the sky, but could not extinguish the fire of the fans. The beautiful When the wild wind blows was the perfect preamble to three classic chanted with passion: The Evil That Men Do, Fear Of The Dark, Iron Maiden, where fans of all generations embraced and enjoyed to the fullest.
After a brief pause, the perfect end: The Number of the Beast, Hallowed be thy name, and Running Free.
bad choice. At 7.40 went to the National Counter scene, banda hybrid that blends metal, hardcore, punk and bun. I must admit that their guitarists (Parra and Mendez) have a very good technical level as the drummer (Vinatea), but the style has little or nothing to do with Iron Maiden and their fans. Although Parra and strove Vinatea by themselves, the public does not support them. At first some bottles fell on the stage and then a warm shit from the stands outside the east, but that takes nothing away from the presentation of the band, whose lead singer is not tired of repeating: ¨ Counter for what they like and for they do not like. " The next time the organizers should get advice and have a better criterion for choosing the support band. There are several Peruvian metal bands that deserved to be there such as Armageddon and Cobra to name a few.
