Diagrams Of Ship Parts
Schrödinger's Box is a new progressive metal Peruvian band in the vein of Dream Theater has just released his first EP titled Master Mind for Latent Sounds Productions.
The CD contains five tracks (three instrumentals and two songs). Start with 'Overture', with melodies that remind me to DT, but over the course of the album, The Box is finding themselves a bit more nuanced. Although it is progressive metal, the issues are not very long (4 to 5 minutes) and do not fall into exaggerated virtuosity of many bands of the genre.
I still 'The Valley of the Unknown' with beautiful and dramatic melodies. The level of musicians is good, highlighting the drummer.
In 'Master Mind' appears the voice of Emilio Carranza, which has a color and strength needed for the style. The theme is very well done, the haunting melodies have a hook that could serve as a single to enter the media or more commercial radio if they wish.
'The Scream' is more in the style of Liquid Tension Experiment, creating different atmospheres that transport you to ethereal states.
They close with 'Mercurial'. A theme that holds the line on the disk, although a little more guitar.
The Fund comprises: Emilio Carranza (Voice), Pablo Velez (guitar), Jaime Pacheco (keyboards), Johan Honors (bass) and Jose Becerra (drums).
Its origins date back to 2008, when they played covers. Initially called Threshold, but soon after, in 2009, are named after Schrödinger's box.
